Magical Journey

It was a cool yet sunny day. The afternoon hinted of a chill whispering upon the setting suns breeze. I was ready for the cool air about me however, with my short brown jacket. I busted out my front door set to go on my kindling shopping trip around our bare and grey aspen laden property. We love to burn the aspen in our wood burning stove since it burns cleaner than the pine. Each species of tree has it’s own beauty. The pine, and fur trees still holding fast their deep greens. The aspen’s now dormant for the winter exhibit a grey and white color with hints of black along their tall trunks that stand so tall and straight in the cool breeze. They stand alert and awaiting the time in which they will again welcome the fresh little bright green fragile, small leaves of spring. But for now, I collect my kindling for a nice warm fire before an oncoming storm. A couple of bags in hand I bumble out my front door and run right into my deer herd! I didn’t seem to startle them much. Perhaps they were too busy feeding before the storm as well, to worry much about me. They know me. They know that I am always collecting things off the ground. The buck was too interested in the doe that was coming up towards me. That is when it hit me. Was she trying to shake him off her tail quite literally? She got very close to me in fact and as she did so Mr. Buck decided he didn’t want to be so close to me. She’s a smart doe she is. She knows just how to shake him alright. So at that point I went off to work finding my fill of wood. As I worked my way down the property I started to feel as if I was being watched. I stood up and looked around, sure enough, there were about 8 tall fuzzy ears pointed towards me. The does had all figured out the best way to keep Mr. Buck from bothering them was to walk along with me. They had been traveling along with me the whole time! It was so cute to see the four beautiful does looking directly at me as if to be asking me, “what cha doin?” It’s hard to describe how deep the brown of their eyes is or how loving the gaze they have when they look at you. The furry brown and thick coats they have are so inviting that I wish I could reach out and pet them. Mr. Buck was still trying to figure out how to work out a deal with one of them. He was really feeling quite amorous. I needed to be a bit careful as I didn’t want to be mistaken as a doe of his, not with those horns of his. Yikes! Well, I had collected my fill and headed back to the house and funny enough, so did my herd of does. Of course, with Mr. Buck in tow. I spent a couple of hours mingling with this herd of deer. They were always within about ten feet of me. I can’t say for sure that Reiki energy helped to bring it about but it sure can help because Reiki brings a certain peaceful energy about a person and about a place. I got home feeling as though I just experienced a Magical journey with some special friends.

Fun Moments to Share

The other early evening as the sun had just set. Outlines were still just visible to the attuned eye I was made aware by our trusty driveway doorbell that we had some sort of visitor at the far end of our wooded 7 acre property. I always love a glimpse of the neighborhood bear or the herd of nearby deer so I grabbed my sheltering warm coat by the door and rushed out to see what was a wondering outside. I also grabbed my long, trusty walking stick in case it was the not so friendly mountain lion looming out in shaded early evening light. As if my walking stick would be a terrific deterrent. I got a bit out there and wow, there she was right there in my face, a doe. It was darker than I had anticipated so we got a bit closer than I had expected. So glad she was a deer. I apologized for any fear I caused her and then noticed she was not alone, there were several others behind her. I let them know the bird bath was full and they could help themselves to it and I turned to walk towards the house and my husband was there wondering what fool thing I was up to out there in the dark woods and I motioned for him to be quiet so as not to frighten them away. He asked, “What are you doing now?” I found that a funny question? He motioned for me to look backwards so I did so and to my astonishment the deer had followed right behind me and were already drinking at the bird bath spa we had set up. What he had seen was a herd of deer walking single file behind me up to the water bowls. You see our driveway is a long dirt and meandering one at that. They were not at all afraid of me and took me up on my invite right away, unbeknownst to me. He let out a slight giggle due to the sight of the deer parade that I had led back to our home. It was a fun feeling to know that they felt so comfortable to just follow right behind me towards our house in the dark. How fun.

Benefits of Using the Gem Stone Rhodonite During a Reiki Session

I have found the delightful light pink stone with grey or black streaks in it to be one of my favorite, go to, gem stones now. The benefits stand out. There has been a significant difference in the power of my Holy Fire Reiki sessions from when I have used this lovely stone and when I was not using it.

I found that when I started using Rhodonite gem stone, my clients would mention how they felt a great sense of calm. It wasn’t that they didn’t feel this before from Reiki sessions, however, they seemed to have more emphasis upon the fact that their anxiety felt so much more released after the session. After a couple of reactions like this I felt it might be related to the use of this gem stone being able to help amplify energies inherent with the loving intent of Reiki focus.

I love using gem stones when I have a certain area or focus of Intent. With Reiki I will always ask for guidance and healing for a persons highest good and then follow it with an area of focus or intent. In so many cases a client will have a certain issue that they wish to address in particular. Spirit or (Universal life force) knows how best to heal for our greatest good, but to state the individuals area of intent is also important. I feel that we always want to be sensitive to an issue one is really wanting answers for. Spirit however, knows the deeper reasons why such issues have become issues to begin with and sometimes what may be a healing by Spirit may not feel like such to the individual. A person may feel as if their issue has been ignored when in fact the core reason is being worked on by Spirit. I hope that makes sense to you all. Sometimes our physical issues that we face are based in a traumatic core issue that Reiki Guides can locate and the use of gem stones does help to boost the loving energetic field in order to bring about healing perhaps in a swifter fashion than it other wise would have been able to have ignited. I have no proof for this, just my instincts and my own Reiki session data.

I liken this to when we have a certain energy about us when we exit a movie theater after watching a love story and we have this feel good energy, vs when we exit the theater after a horror film and we walk out relieved it wasn’t real and our energy is tense and a bit on edge. Our energies are influenced by emotions and scenes presented to us. Well, I think the same can be said with gem stones and the energies that they have and we are affected by them as well. Each gem stone has different attributes that speak to us in different ways and we can choose and select which ones can benefit us for whatever our needs may be at the time. I have just started my journey with gem stones and so far I’m enjoying the trip, and as your travel agent, suggest that you give them a whirl. I hope that your journey if you choose to step out upon it will be wonderous and delightful as well as healing.

Testimonial

I am deeply honored that my dear client took so much of her precious time to write this beautiful and heartfelt testimonial for me. It means the world to me that the work that I am currently doing is helping to make a difference. I have been guided to be in this line of work as one of the many energy healers on our wonderous planet. I stepped away from the Ultra Sound field to go back to school in the area of speech language. My work as a Speech Language Assistant later was unfortunately brought to an abrupt end by an mysterious disability. Reiki healing, really found me and has in fact started to heal me 1st, and now I am able to reach out and help others. I’m again, so grateful for Zahna’s testimonial. I know the retail business she is in takes up an incredible amount of her time along with being artful at Tai Chi and her work in the martial arts. So indeed I am honored.

Below is Zahna Soule’s testimony:

There are times when we literally do not know “what ails us”. I work retail. I contacted Dawn for Reiki last December as – given the current health crisis of covid-19; the combined effect of exposure to more people and the heightened stress which affects the immune system – I was very apprehensive about working this Christmas shopping season. I asked for help with protection from covid and energy to deal with the exceptionally draining circumstances. Dawn recounted the session to me conveying that she did not understand some of what she saw/experienced. The following is that part: She saw a red oval at my pelvic area. She worked that area until it became green in color and then moved on from there.

Soon after the Reiki session I had my yearly gynecological exam. I had an abnormal pap and returned for a colposcopy and biopsy. It confirmed that there is pre-cancer cell activity. I had not suspected any such issue and had not asked Dawn to attend to that part of my body. Her response to the movement of the session – her receptiveness to what came through even though it appeared unrelated to my request – is commendable and shows that she is being a pure “vessel or vehicle” for the healing energy; she doesn’t put strictures upon it and has no personal agenda which is essential for a healer.

I was able to handle the extremely difficult circumstances at work during December, maintained my health and energy – and sanity 😉 – and Dawn continues to work on my pelvic area.

I am most grateful to her for her ability and dedication to the healing arts. I recommend her highly!

Gratitude Space

I like to bring about my own inner peace by saying a gratitude prayer at the beginning and end of each given day. Gratitude helps me to think about what I DO have, and how I can give to others, even when I feel at times I don’t have enough, this allows me to focus each day on what I do have. This meditation frees up space for my psyche to be able to give when perhaps I may have held on too tightly.

Exciting News!

Yesterday I started to have the background sensation of the dreaded Migraine. Many out there suffer from this awful offense to life itself. The terrible all too real sense of dread starts to drift over me as if from a distant forest fire and the possible threat it brings. It’s tentacles reaching across my doomed forehead and down over the back of my head as if it’s ready to strangle any life I have left. Yet, this is the very time that is also the opportunity to stop the beast from defeating me. I have some time when it is just starting to affect me when I can possibly stop it. Who will win the battle? Now that I have a new tool in my tool kit, I decided to quickly get it out. I used energy Reiki. It was a bit harder to use the self Reiki when I had the background migraine going but I worked at using my focus and letting the Universal Life Force to help me. At first I didn’t notice a change, but about 2 hours later, the migraine was gone! I had not taken my usual migraine medications to stop it! This is thrilling news for me and also for those out there that also suffer from severe migraines. Mine are so bad that I have to take a preventative medication daily, as well as a medication for breakthrough meds. I still have about 15 to 20 days a month of headache’s. These headaches are not the severe migraines that I used to get without all the medication help. I still can end up in the ER for this monster of an illness about 2 to 3 times a year. So now with this new tool, perhaps I will have some better relief options!

This is me, thinking should I hit my head against a wall, go to bed for the rest of the day, or try, Self Reiki? I tried Self Reiki, oh joy!

Peace Pond

Each day I carve out some time to escape the outside world’s sideways slide so I can find my own inner balance. Sometimes it helps for a short spell and other times the world’s madness intrudes upon my quiet meditation. For this day however, I found some relief from the craziness and was gifted with some softness I’d like to share with you all. I saw a mirror for a flash of time. In it I saw oddly enough a glimpse of Michael Jackson, and Ruth Bater Ginsberg. I can’t say why. Then appeared a lovely pond. Looking into the reflection of this quiet and beautiful clear pond were many holding hands, bent over as if looking into it’s still depths. I was with them and was instructed that this was the peace pond. It was bright at the top, with dark soil at the bottom which represented negative thoughts/deeds that sink to the bottom and even help to bring about the beauty at the top of the pond. I was reassured to be okay with where I am at personally. All play an important role around the peace pond. Even the dark soil of the bottom. Just swim up and allow yourself to be who you are with no restrictions. Give love freely, as it is the Universe’s Language.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus your own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
